Land Sports

Drama
Campers can participate in many diverse aspects of the dramatic arts. From our monthly play, viewed by the entire camp, to our weekly campfires or skit nights, campers have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of a friendly audience of their peers.

Crossbow
Crossbow challenges campers to improve their eye hand coordination. This activity is restricted to campers 12 years and older.

Archery
Campers of all ages can practice their marksmanship on the archery range. Go for one of our levels and learn what it takes to be a modern day Robin Hood.

Flying Fox
Strap on your helmet, harness up and cruise down our zip line, which races out over the lake. Only for the brave of heart, this will be a trip to remember.

Ecology
Learn how to build a fire, catch a frog and gain an understanding of your role in the environment around us. Campers also learn wilderness living skills through our ecology program.

Sports
With access to 4 playing fields and 2 courts, campers have numerous opportunities to participate in all of their favourite sports such as soccer, road hockey, baseball, lacrosse, tetherball, or volleyball.

Disc Golf
At Onondaga we take our Disc Golf seriously. We have an official 9 hole Disc Golf Course, that leads you all over the camp. It's a "hole" lot of fun!

Basketball
Campers will have the opportunity to improve their game with our new full size basketball court and six accompanying shooting areas. Come out for a lesson or drop buy for some free time ball. All are welcome.

Tennis
Be it a relaxed rally, a tournament, or a formal lesson, campers will improve their skills with an experienced instructor.

Horseback Riding
Campers of all skill levels have the opportunity to participate in our English-style riding program within our spacious enclosed riding ring. In addition, campers are provided with the opportunity to participate in trail rides. Our goal is to provide all campers with an opportunity to experience riding and our more enthusiastic riders an opportunity to improve upon their equestrian skills. Our keen nurturing instructors make this a fun trip to the riding ring.

Arts and Crafts
Campers have the opportunity to develop and display their creative side. Each year our creative staff brings many projects including painting, drawing, beaded necklaces, tie-dye shirts, and pottery and woodworking. Time spent in our Arts and Crafts cabin is often a welcomed change from a busy day.

Dance and Aerobics
Taught by energetic dance and aerobic instructors, campers receive a vigorous workout and learn modern dance routines. Campers have the opportunity to demonstrate their talents at the end of session dance show.

Climbing Wall
Chalk up your hands and experience one of our four climbing routes on our 34 ft. climbing wall. The routes range in difficulty from beginner to expert. It's a fantastic way to get a birds eye view of camp!
